In response to my post about carnivals, Pat Anderson said that the Oak Lawn Roundup was a great event!Thurs. June 11...The oak Lawn "Round Up" was a big event in the village. People lined 95th street to see it. We would dress in cowboy/cowgirl outfits, cap guns in holsters and boots if we had them. The parade was great and Corney the clown was the highlight. Wally, was Veli's Restaurant really called Dimpy's Diner when it opened on 95th & Cicero? Wow! Thanks for reminding us about Halleran's in the Arena Bowling Alley building.
